The sand coordinator position manages the supply, logistics, and on-site delivery of frac sand for oil and gas operations. Key duties include scheduling truck deliveries, overseeing offloading into storage silos, and enforcing safety rules on location.
Core Responsibilities
Logistics Management: Coordinate inbound and outbound sand trucks, direct drivers on location, and manage equipment connections.
Safety & Compliance: Lead safety meetings, conduct health and safety inspections, and ensure proper PPE and protocol adherence.
Inventory & Reporting: Track sand levels, collect driver paperwork, and log data using digital apps or spreadsheets.
Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery like forklifts when needed and light plant set up.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of oilfield, logistics, or sand coordination experience.
Skills: Strong verbal communication, basic computer literacy, and problem-solving abilities.
Physical & Schedule Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, work outdoors in harsh weather, and work demanding rotational shifts (such as 14 days on and 7 days off )
